What should we protect, improve, or enhance in our community? 

The City is hosting three community conversation sessions at the South Portland Community Center (21 Nelson Road) on Monday, 8/7/2023. These community conversations will help develop a vision for the City through 2040. You’re encouraged to attend, even if you have participated in a past ‘Meeting-in-a-Box’ or filled out our online questionnaire. While much of the content is the same, new ideas and opinions are shared in each conversation. Participants will discuss what they love and would like to preserve, as well as any issues that may need to be addressed by the new Comprehensive Plan. Those who attend will have opportunities to share their ideas through a series of exercises and activities facilitated by the South Portland Planning Division.

Session One: 7:30-9:00 AM

Session Two: 3:30-5:00 PM

Session Three: 6:30 to 8:30 PM

Meetings will be held on the first floor. No RSVP necessary.
