South Portland’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan update is grounded in the principles of inclusive, consensus-based long range planning. Community members will be given multiple opportunities to express their needs and desires for the future of South Portland, as well as the tools, information, and power needed to help chart the City’s future throughout the 2040 Comprehensive Plan update process.

Join residents from across South Portland to discuss key policy questions that will shape the future of our community by 2040. The South Portland Comprehensive Plan Committee is currently seeking community feedback as part of the SoPo 2040 Comprehensive Plan update!

We want to hear your thoughts on key policy questions for long-range planning in South Portland, including waterfront planning, housing needs, economic development, public facilities and services, and transportation infrastructure.
